Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter

A Porter gets its’ name from the the processing of the malt, where malt is dried at very high temperature resulting to the point of partly charring. The resulting effect is a dark-brown roasty medium-bodied beer with a lot of complexities. Take a sip and it will be hard to distinguish between a glass of fermented grain and a Peanut Butter Cup. A truly magical brew perfect for the colder months because of it is reminiscent of bitter dark chocolate and creamy peanut butter. Sweet and succulent up front, dark chocolate in the middle, mild but noticeably roasted aftertaste. This seemed like a good enough time as any to give a beer the surname of our proprietors, The Porter Family, so let’s raise a glass and “Cheers”!

Peanut Butter Cups, Oysters, Venison Stew, Vanilla Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate Shakes.
